The Belgrade News is the primary source of quality local news in the central and western areas of the Gallatin Valley in Southwest Montana. From offices located in downtown Belgrade, Montana, a staff of seven produces an award-winning twice-weekly newspaper that serves the communities of Belgrade, Manhattan, Amsterdam-Churchill, Springhill, Four Corners, Three Forks, Willow Creek and the rural areas in between. Secondary readership areas include Gallatin Gateway and Bozeman.
The Belgrade News published its first issue Feb. 3, 2004, and has published continually, in print and online, since that time. The staff consists of an editor and a news reporter, a sports editor and sports reporter, two advertising sales people and a graphic designer.
Belgrade is a town of 7,500 just 10 miles west of Bozeman, Montana. It started as a quiet farming community in 1882 and slowly expanded with family businesses. Throughout the 1990s and early 2000s, Belgrade saw tremendous growth being one of the fastest growing communities in Montana. At the same time, Belgrade has established itself as an independent community with excellent services, school system and an unbeatable living experience of a small town.
