The Herald and News welcomes its new advertising director, Ben Kenfield, a Klamath Falls native and an Oregon Institute of Technology graduate.
Kenfield, has been a successful advertising manager at two daily newspapers before returning home to Klamath Falls. He has extensive experience in integrated digital and traditional sales marketing, advertising sales training, online and mobile consumer marketing and digital product implementation.
“I’m very excited to return to Klamath Falls to work for my hometown newspaper, and for the opportunity to work with local business owners,” Kenfield said.
“In prior markets, Ben’s core focus has been finding customer solutions and ways to help local businesses succeed,” said H&N Publisher Mark Dobie. “His energy and enthusiasm make him a great fit with the Herald and News team.”
Prior to joining the H&N, Kenfield was the ad director for the Rapid City Journal, in Rapid City, S.D. He also was the digital ad manager for the News-Review Media Company in Roseburg, Ore.
He directed a team of sales account managers and was responsible for growing several key accounts in the market. He graduated Klamath Union High School in 1996 and OIT in 2002 with a degree in business operations management. He and his wife, Anna, have two children, Jonathon, 16, and Sebastian, 4.
